DaisyWhen we Communicate and Connect with others, a miraculous thing happen. We begin to open up, and as a result we feel lighter and happier. By opening up, we feel more connected and develop a greater appreciate with the universe. We begin to see beauty, diversity, and expansiveness everywhere, in ‘things’ as they are, meeting ‘them’ and accepting ‘them’, always growing and expanding.

When we stop masking and pretending, like a flower opening, without trying, we becoming naturally beautiful. We learn there is nothing we need to do or need to be, we just simply ‘be’.

Opening up is a scary thing for Ego. By opening up, and being our true nature, Ego’s caught out. It becomes ‘seen’, not the whole, but a part of the machine of mind. We start seeing and communicating from beyond Ego, we start becoming a person. The whisper “I knows best”, is Ego’s defense mechanism, trying to keep you from seeing your true nature, and keep “I” in the spotlight.

This is where our learning begins, and Ego’s influence diminishes. We learn we aren’t always right, that it’s ok to be wrong. We also begin learn from others, and from their experiences. Others become a source of wisdom, and a source of reflection. We transcend our ego and become self-aware.

By openly communicating with others, we begin seeing our qualities in them, and begin to hear things coming from our own mouths that we have no idea about. Things sitting below consciousness in such communications may freely flow.

We feel expansive after open communications, feeling a deep love and thanks for the shared experience, with happiness, understanding, and wisdom the results.

Next time you share a gaze with a stranger, try something different. Instead of rushing your eyes away from them as fast as possible, be bold, be open. Look at them, smile, say hello, and converse. Who knows what you share in common. As the old saying goes “a stranger is a friend you just haven’t met”.

Opening Linked Haiku

When we communicate with others, we bridge the fundamental gap between self and others.  Learning to sing is another very powerful way to express your emotions.  Learn how to dance, learn how to act or just take some guitar lessons.  Words are great, but you’re most likely to be understood without them.

I really like this post Wade.

The amazing thing I’ve found is that the more we open our eyes the more we see that Life itself is this process of opening… and it’s only our resistance to opening (ego?)that has us believe there’s something else, something scary, going on.

Wade, what a great article. I liked Nick’s comment too. Resistance is what causes our suffering. Our ego has its life invested in us staying closed to all other influence. When we open, we see. Ego doesn’t like that. It loses control.

@Nick, Thank you, as always for your understanding and comments.

@Patricia, I like this agreement between all, means we must be onto something. Thank you for your comments.

      Peace,

      Wade

I’ve been playing with FaceBook for the past couple of weeks and I’ve accumulated 27 friends that I have known at various phases of my life. Looking at the collage of friends I felt truly blessed they have indeed enriched my life.
