@Tom, It's so simple and nourishing to live from the place of stillness. It's very challenging to live in the world and this place at the same time. This is our practice. In the monasteries they talk about their work there are practice for practice in the 'big blue room'(earth).

@Terry, I have no idea how we know this. It's just apart of us all. When we do nothing it's there. When we think about things, or have ideas, it vanishes. Such a beautiful state, very Wow, as you said. The best thing about it is it comes from the not-doing/not-trying, it is what's always there, it's the most authentic thing there is.

@Evan, Thanks for the comments. The story is based on my own experiences, and remembering back, there was a feeling of love for everything and one. As it's said, even the Buddha could not help those who did not wish to hear his words. In a similar vein, I couldn't just sit on the floor all night, so I went where I felt I could share in the creation of the space. Thanks for the check, with more practice, I believe/hope I will gain even greater unconditional acceptance, and develop less judgments. As I also said in the post, everything in the moment is a teaching, even when the teaching is to clearly see my aversion to certain things. (Details for the talk can be found on http://interestingsouth.com/)

@Gregor, Great quote, fantastic eye as always.

@Liara, Agree :) To see beyond the I, is to know that you are not the thing called I. A magical place, and the beginning of a journey.

@Terry, Hi again :) I'm reminded of http://themiddleway.net/2008/01/17/the-sound-before-hearing/ by the title Ground of Silence. I'm sure Adya would cover the topic more skillfully, but I think get where we're coming from here. My understanding of awareness and noise, is that awareness notices the noise, after all it is aware. At this point, it's not noise, it's just a sound. It's only when the Me, with it's concepts and ideas about what constitutes noise comes along and labels the sound that it becomes noise. The other thing with awareness, which the title is playing on is the sound beyond the sound. Within the sound is no-sound, within no-sound is sound. It's _really_ hard to hear like this, it can't be forced. Reading the Identity of Relative and Absolute can help plant seeds (http://themiddleway.net/2007/11/14/absolute-relative-and-enlightenment/)

@Jerry, Thank you for your comments.

@Kapitalq, I like your view of the internet, and hope to do the best I can in co-creating such a place/space. Thanks for your blessing.

May all beings happy, may all beings be peaceful, may all beings be free.

Gassho,

This is what the internet is for, expressing ideas like this. Thanks for the post. May we all find the strength to take that next step in our progression through and to wisdom.

Wow Wade, that was beautiful. There are so many powerful statements in your post that perfectly hit home for me. Your words "we no longer see good or bad. Happy and Sad lose their power" are so true. The reaction to judge melts away and is replaced by acceptance, "found in nothing-ness".

Wonderful post.

Hi Wade,
Tonight as I listen/watch one of Adya's series of video's.
(The Ground of Silence)
A question surfaced and thought you might be able to explain in deeper detail what the "shape-shifter me" is? ex:
As far as my understanding can take me would be, awareness doesn't notice the noise. Only the me does. And while it notices the me, it shape shifts into any voice. What is Adya talking about, am I close?
lol

;-p

To sense the inter-connectedness of things enables you to begin to rise above the condiioned opposition within you. As you begin to sense the energy fields, vibrations an fluctuations, your self-view and understanding of this world changes. Its all about transformation form within.

"People. They emit a certain vibe."

So true.

This is beautifully put.

And I have one disagreement. As you note, even in no-thingness, we prefer this and not that. To me, this means that life is not a matter of indifference.

Thanks Wade. Could you say where and when it is that you are giving the talk on meditation. I'm not sure when you are on from the site you linked to. I hope to be there. Thanks.

Isn't this something. How do we know this? An automatic energy-frequency field within reach. At first when it occurs, your saying to yourself; "Wow!" What has just happened? I must have known this person's soul from the past. It is truly amazing and what a authentic compassionate feeling it is!!

Love ya

"You no longer feel lost, you feel found in the nothing-ness." Well put, Wade. I never dreamed that my path would wind up in nothingness. The all-pervading sense of being a somebody or a something has faded over time, and now nothingness appears to be "it" whatever that really means. But that nothingness is so rich and full! Who knew? I'm enjoying more and more discovering the emptiness that is everything around. Nice post.
