About the Blog
This blog was created as a vehicle to begin discussions and communicating personal understandings of practices and studies. The content is based around Buddhist/Zen thoughts, ideas, philosophy and psychology. There’s no specific school of thought, but the underlying Buddhadharma that’s seen everywhere that operates here.
There are many sources of inspiration, input, and influence for The Middle Way, both on and offline. Online, the blogroll contains links to teachers and friends. Offline sources include Siddhartha Gautama – The Historical Buddha, Thich Nhat Hanh, Great Master Dogen, Ken Wilber, Gil Fronsdal, Michael McAlister, Jack Kornfield, John Daido Loori, and life.
The Middle Way is a way of giving back. It’s a way of sharing my visions, my truths, and my understandings with the world. I hope you find my posts, recommendations and tools useful. Please feel free to contact me if you feel I could do better. I hope to give an understanding on practice, from my point of view. Tips and tricks on how to meditate. Ways to be happy, ways to investigate your mind, body and soul.
About The Middle Way
The Middle Way is the path of the Buddha. It sees Truth lying between all extremes, and this is should be the direct the practitioner follows. In this way, truth is neither day or night, it is both.*
About the Author
Wade is a 20-something guy from Sydney, Australia. He’s a practising lay Buddhist, and has spent time as a student in Zen Mountain Monastery, and San Francisco Zen Centre. Next on the cards is to become a Formal Student of the Mountains and Rivers Order. He also runs a weekly Zen Meditation Class in his area. Wade spends his time primarily living, acting from within the moment, anything can happen, and it’s exactly that, which allows life to grow. Acceptance. When not living, and recharging, he can be found reading, drinking soy chai tea, exercising, dilmah black tea, practicing Yoga. Often found meeting new people, and having chats with old. Ads on The Middle Way
The Middle Way is a not-for-profit website. Dana is injected back into real world Sanghas.
Update May ‘08: As of May ‘08, The Middle Way has become Google Ads free. I found the ads detracting from the content, and my primary message is to communicate with you, the reader. I hate the idea of limiting you, or seeing you as a number. I’m not here for profit. I want you to enjoy the experience of visiting The Middle Way.
Supporting The Middle Way
Being Google Ads free, support has to come through other avenues. If you would like to support the development of The Middle Way, either through online or real-world projects, including things like collaboration/guest posts, keynote speeches/presentations, or guided meditations, anything you can think of really, The Middle Way would love to be involved with, please e-mail wade@thisdomain.
